Nevermind everyone I got it to work.

Hey guys, I just bought a Slingbox (www.slingmedia.com) so that I could watch Sabres games at work on the weekdays. It is a box that hooks up to my cable and allows me to stream my tv over the internet using it's program called sling player. I have tested it successfully at my friends house so I know it should work. Anyways at work I have gotten the program to run despite not having administrative rights on my computer. However I cannot get the program to connect. At first I tried various ports (21,25,80,443) but not seemed to connect. Then I noticed IE has a proxy set up (firewall.mycompany.com port 80). So I set up the proxy in the program and I still had no luck getting it to connect at all. The way I did it first it took like 20 seconds and would come back as not being able to connect but when I set up the proxy through slingplayer it immediatly said it couldn't connect which makes me thing their firewall is blocking the program itself. When I set up the proxy in Windows Media Player it is able to connect to wmp streams fine. Is there any possible way out there to possibly get this to run or am I sol?
Using Slingbox At Work

Hey,
Well what I did was pretty simple. I looked at IE's proxy settings and copied them into the firewall settings in the slingbox player under http proxy. Then I used port 443 for my slingbox and it worked perfectly fine. As far as me getting fired from work I doubt it will happen. I am in a sales job and am one of the top 5 performers in my office and they tend to look the other way at things I do.
