  1. Does anybody know how to make animated GIFs, like for signatures and avatars, out of MPEG video? I have quite a few video programs but I cannot quite figure out how to accomplish such a feat. If anybody has any insight into the topic, please share! Thanks, Ryan
  2. Oh, sorry. I am using Windows ME (yeah, I know!! ). I forgot to mention that I was looking for something that included PHP on the install, along with other useful things like mySQL/SQLite, among others. By the way, I wanted Apache because that's what was suggested to me by others in the past. Thanks, Ryan.
  3. I want to run my own Windows Apache server. I want to do this primarily for personal use but perhaps I could host friends to make a little money later down the road. I found something I like (XAMMP), but it always had to be open in a DOS prompt. Is there anything similar that could do the same thing (similar or better) while running in the background? I need something that will sit next to my clock so that I don't need it 'open'. Thanks, Ryan
  4. I need to know if there's a way to put song info (like CDDB has on CDs) onto a CD-R so when I burn it, I have the song titles, artists, etc. stored away for later. That way if I need to rip the CD-R, it automatically knows the songs. Is this possible?
  5. Hello all: I have a hard-drive MP3 player that I currently use as an external hard drive. It's plugged into my PC via USB. It's worked fine doing that for a while now. But recently (within the past few days or so), the drive gives me a Blue Screen of Death saying something to the effect of Cannot Write to H: Drive. It still has plenty of hard drive space. So that's not the problem. I'm not sure what it could be. Also, when I load up mp3 files from the drive, which is the function of the drive, they load up slow in Winamp. Any ideas? Thanks, Ryan.
  6. Thanks everybody for the warm welcome and the quick response. I'll give this a try. Thanks again.
  7. Hello all: I need a good video splitter. I have several videos encoded with the DIVX codec. And they're rather large. My PC is a tad old so it can't withstand editing larger videos. It would help if they were smaller. What're my options? Thanks, Ryan.
