I have all of the materials and measurements for building a yagi wifi antenna. I intend to connect the antenna to this USB wifi LAN adapter. What I would like to know is if I remove the black covering over the LAN adapter's antenna can I directly solder the exposed antenna (cut or uncut) to the dipole of the yagi antenna and everything still work as it should? Or do I absolutely have to use a N connector with pigtail to connect the yagi's dipole to the SMA connector on the USB adapter?
