[Suspected Malware Infection?[RESOLVED]]

Thanks for your prompt response. Fortunately for me, it appears that I may have fixed my problem in the wee hours this morning.

Not sure if this is the correct forum. I suspect that I have a malware infection. When I open my homepage on my ie browser and click a link, I am automatically redirected to various search engine sites. I am running a Vista OS. This is only happening on my 32bit browser. It is not happening on my 64bit browser. Can anyone advise me on what to do? I'm barely computer literate, so please keep that in mind. Thanks.
