[Java Hang Types]

Hi,

I'm using a java based library application and i get the following Java SE Platform Not Responding pop-up error when doing a search. My question is, how can i tell what a 6144 hang type is? and how would i go about fixing it? Both the application and java have been deleted and re-installed, and out of kicks i disabled all internet explorer add-ons.
