I don't really know anything about logfiles, but I the boot mode I used when I got my logfiles was normal, not safe mode. It's not really "restarting", but rather just going straight back to the screen where you select your boot mode and press "enter", then I press "enter" on normal and it boots the computer back up, but this always happens randomly.
