  1. Any tips or ideas I can try to get Winxp pro to recognize my SATA HD? Installed the drivers etc. Enabled it in bios. It starts the usual check list, runs through irq's etc. message to hit F4 to configure SCSI device and then shows the drive volume. This is where earlier I "ran" the config that now shows the JBOD choice in the BIOS. So anyway after showing the hd and volume and where you would normally see the first Winxp splash screen it pauses (black) for about 30 seconds then says,

"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check both path and disk hardware. Please check the Windows documentaion about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information."

The board has 4 slots for S_ATA_SB (Controlled by nForce4 SLI)

and 4 slots SATA II (Controlled by SII3114 drivers) Which I've loaded.

In the bios I've loaded the drivers and have the boot choice of:

    1. Bootable Add-in Cards.

    2. SCSI-0 :01:40-0 siI JBOD

I have changed between the two and and the two different slots on the MB with no luck, same message as above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My son awaits his new "Super Computer".
