Yay! Spyware.... I believe I accidentally got my computer with spyware. It also seems like the spyware is pretty resiliant to all my attempts to rid it... The file I DL'd bypassed Firefox 3's built in scanner (it removed itself from the Download dialog straight after finishing", has shut down, and has stopped my ability to launch/use AVG 8.0, and seems to have altered my version of Adware (when it starts scanning, it rants about some file having a log been altered, and thus doesn't show any infections). I have tried starting in Safe mode (which I have confined my computer to for the time being
