Article from FCW.com. They're banning access to Outlook, but using work-arounds?
-
I've given up on it. Last night, it was failing to dis-encypt the encypted keystrokes, which meant I couldn't log into my online email services. Pity -- it seemed to work well up to then.
-
Hopefully the smart people doing that don't take umbrage, or ignore your information, mikex. Some folk don't like being told how to do stuff if it involves anything more complicated than clicking those "Forward" or "Reply to all" buttons. It's like folks that pass on glurge and urban legend stuff without checking things out.

macmarauder: Honey Bun is a cutie! You only use the fusion reactor to power the telly? What??? What about the most important part of any establishment -- the microwave? robroy: Yet another of my morning der-brain moments, sorry. Never twigged the connection. Thanks for the info, appreciate it, mate! Cheers. Matt: G'Day! *waves to all*

G'Day, Keith! Cool to see another familiar face here! And an early morning in Auckland g'day to everyone else as well!
-
I see you're a Scot or of Scottish extraction, robroy. I'm quarter-Scot myself. Which clan or sept is the badge from in your sig?
-
If I'd had my brain in gear last night (which it wasn't, sorry, I came home brain-dead tired again) -- diallers would have been the ones possibly causing those high toll bills, Marty, rather than keyloggers, which just intercept the keystrokes and then let cracker HQ know.
-
I still use AdAware, Spybot -- and now also the AVG-AS. They all help. That reminds me -- I need to do another sweep. Cheers!
-
Just an aside -- keyloggers has been a concern of mine ever since I went on broadband especially back in mid 2005. I had a tollbar put on my phone that blocks international calls and 0900 ones, unless I put in the unlock code. Just added insurance (seeing as I'm the only one here, there's no one to gripe).

If you're coming down with viruses regularly as you say, irregularjoe -- it could be also that your immune system is depressed in some way. Have you had a check-up recently? Are you making sure you have a balanced diet -- especially the vitamins and minerals the immune system needs. As for catching 'flus and coughs etc. -- I find all you need is to be in places outside the home where there's people coughing and sneezing without covering their mouths, or some kiddies having more than the average sniffle attack, for the aerosol droplets carrying to viruses to be in the air you breathe. Interesting plug-in! I've just installed it, thanks to seeing this post.

Thanks, all. This sounds already like a very friendly place. Marty's done me a favour by recommending you folk, I reckon.

Cheers, arachnid! Cool sig graphics by the way, both yours and blim's. Quite impressive!

Hullo there, folks! Marty's a cool 'un, that's for sure. He's been reminding and reminding and reminding me to come across here -- Hi Marty! I made it! *waves* Um -- I'm quite boring and dull, actually. I'm a heritage researcher by occupation and self-employment. Worse still, it's my main hobby as well, so I do tend to go on too much about history. I like finding out about computers and Internet stuff tho', so your board here is going to be wonderful reading for me for some time to come. Thank you all. I live in Auckland, NZ's largest city. Born and bred Kiwi, early 40s. Anything you folks wo
