  1. well let me start by thanking you both. i am running SE linux and i used the lokkit command to allow 22 to pass thru the firewall. i found a good link thru google for a freenx setup on fc4, so it helped alot: http://fedoranews.org/contributors/rick_stout/freenx/ once i got it installed and running, made sure i had the proper user permissions, i just copied the client_dsa.key over to my client a viola its up and running. thanks again to you both for your timely response and helping me get squared away on my nx server.. it rocks.
  2. hmm.. well i wasn't aware of freenx... and when i configure firestarter thru the gui, there is no options for exceptions, but it was already allowing all of my other daemons to pass... ie:hl2dm, http, ftp.... soo its kinda got me lost, but now i am considering removing nxserver and getting freenx. also i am fairly new to fc4... to uninstall the nxserver, is there a gui i can use, or do i have to do it command line? lol... yeah i usually stuck with debian or suse.. so fc4 is a lil different for me
  3. i've got it all set up and ready to go, service is running on my linux box, but when i try to connect thru my internal network, nothing happens at all. i've checked to make sure nxserver is running on the default SSH port (22) and i have all the information in the client correct as well. the daemon is active and responsive thru the console on the linux machine, but when i try to connect... i get nothing at all. i installed firestarter to monitor the incoming tcp packets, and there are no events on port 22 when i try and connect.. its like its rejected before the machine recieves it... any r
