i gonna upgrade my old monitor and i don't know if this monitor is any good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824001068 , if you know a better one thats cheap or around the same price as that one please let me know.does every monitor work with just about every PC?

How about refurbished? We bought a 22" Mitsubishi Diamond Flat Screen for ~$160. It's been pretty reliable. At the price of the monitor you posted, you can step up to a 22" flat CRT:

A good 19" CRT comes in at ~$120:

refurbished or even outright used ain't bad. I have a used Dell M991 19" CRT I bought from a friend for $40. It works great and has worked great for my friend for like 2 or 3 years. If it's anything like my old CTX, It ought to last 5 more years if not longer.
