danb2
I don't know how I got this virus, but I got it... The virus caused my keyboard to not type certain letters and type other letters in place of the real one. Now after running Spybot S&D, Ad Aware, Spyware Doctor, online tools, Mcafee, updating things, etc I've deleted random trojans, keyloggers, cookies, etc and now I can't use about half of my keyboard. But now no more letters type different letters, they just type nothing at all.My Comp: Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP2AMD Ath 2.4ghz120gb HD1gb RamSo now I am posting my Hijack This log to see if anyone can help. Thanks all.Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1Scan saved at 3:09:37 PM, on 10/10/2005Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180)Running processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXBCES.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXPPS.EXEC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\Program Files\ASUS\Probe\AsusProb.exeC:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsshld.exeC:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mcagent.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\CTHELPER.EXEC:\Program Files\Lexmark 2200 Series\lxbvbmgr.exeC:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\UPDATE~1\issch.exec:\progra~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsescn.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_04\bin\jusched.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\RUNDLL32.EXEC:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exeC:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\swdoctor.exeC:\Program Files\Lexmark 2200 Series\lxbvbmon.exec:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsrte.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\wdfmgr.exec:\progra~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsftsn.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasDtServ.exec:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcshield.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\alg.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoguard.exeC:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoctrl.exeC:\Program Files\a2\a2guard.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exeC:\DOCUME~1\DANBIT~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX00.688\HijackThis.exeR0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://mail.google.com/mail/R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missingO2 - BHO: AcroIEHlprObj Class - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dllO2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYBOT~1\SDHelper.dllO2 - BHO: UberButton Class - {5BAB4B5B-68BC-4B02-94D6-2FC0DE4A7897} - C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Common\yiesrvc.dllO2 - BHO: PCTools Site Guard - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYWAR~1\tools\iesdsg.dllO2 - BHO: YahooTaggedBM Class - {65D886A2-7CA7-479B-BB95-14D1EFB7946A} - C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Common\YIeTagBm.dllO2 - BHO: Google Toolbar Helper - {AA58ED58-01DD-4d91-8333-CF10577473F7} - c:\program files\google\googletoolbar1.dllO2 - BHO: PCTools Browser Monitor - {B56A7D7D-6927-48C8-A975-17DF180C71AC} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYWAR~1\tools\iesdpb.dllO3 - Toolbar: McAfee VirusScan - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - c:\progra~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsshl.dllO3 - Toolbar: Yahoo! cherokeechief
have you tried another keyboard?just looking at the log, even though i have not taken any class yet, i did not see anything that would cause the keyboard problem.have you tried to reload the keybord drivers?it might just be a problem with the drivers for the key board or the key board itself.try this, go to the device manager, to get there, rt click on my computer, select properties, then the hardware tab, then click on device manager button.then look for the keyboard, and uninstall the driver. then reboot and the pc will look up the correct drivers for the keyboard, try this and see if it helps. This ensures backups are saved and accessible. Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missingO9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\PartyPoker.exe (file missing)O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\PartyPoker.exe (file missing)Reboot your PC.If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, along with any names you can remember of the infections that were removed, especially the keylogger, and let us know how your system's working. also be aware that there is a possibility, depending on what the infection or infected files were, that you may have to reinstall windows.
