I don't know how I got this virus, but I got it... The virus caused my keyboard to not type certain letters and type other letters in place of the real one. Now after running Spybot S&D, Ad Aware, Spyware Doctor, online tools, Mcafee, updating things, etc I've deleted random trojans, keyloggers, cookies, etc and now I can't use about half of my keyboard. But now no more letters type different letters, they just type nothing at all.

My Comp: Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP2

AMD Ath 2.4ghz

120gb HD

1gb Ram

have you tried another keyboard?

just looking at the log, even though i have not taken any class yet, i did not see anything that would cause the keyboard problem.

have you tried to reload the keybord drivers?

it might just be a problem with the drivers for the key board or the key board itself.

try this, go to the device manager, to get there, rt click on my computer, select properties,

then the hardware tab, then click on device manager button.

then look for the keyboard, and uninstall the driver. then reboot and the pc will look up the correct drivers for the keyboard,

try this and see if it helps.

it's possible that will solve the issues, but I'm thinking more then likely not, its hard to tell without knowing what viruses, trojans and keylogger were removed.

Either way you still have some remenants left over from your infections.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

also be aware that there is a possibility, depending on what the infection or infected files were, that you may have to reinstall windows.
