How to take a screenshot on the iPhone X

Recommended Posts

So if you have an iPhone X by now you’ve noticed it doesn’t have a home button. So how do you take a screenshot on iPhone X? On every other iPhone to-date to take a screenshot you would press the power button and then the home button immediately after take a screenshot, but now, with no more home button, how does one take said screenshot? I’ll tell you.

To take a screenshot on iPhone X, simply press and hold the power button on the right side of your device and then immediately press volume up button on the left side of the device. That’s it.

And in iOS 11, once the screenshot has been taken you have the ability to simply save it to the Photos app or edit/mark it up. If you want to edit the screenshot, tap the thumbnail that appears to add drawings and text with Markup, or press and hold the thumbnail to share the screenshot. You can also swipe left on the thumbnail to dismiss it (which will also save it to Photos for later use).
