worstcaseposs
Stumbled onto a bad website. My desktop changed to a black screen with a message stating i was infected with a viruse. I go to a couple websites deleted some files, forgot ot log the files so i have no idea what they were. One thing I did do is right click on my desktop and click properties. I found out the path, deleted the file, I believe it was screen.html. Well now my screen flashing gray to white, but the "your infected" warning is gone, and so is the red circle with white cross in my tool bar. Here's my hijackthis log, please help in any way possible.Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1Scan saved at 2:24:37 AM, on 6/14/2005Platform: Windows XP (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 (6.00.2600.0000)Running processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\Program Files\Sygate\SPF\smc.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\msole32.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\shnlog.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_02\bin\jusched.exeC:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exeC:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exeC:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exeC:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\intmon.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgamsvr.exeC:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Free\avgemc.exeC:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc.exeC:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Free\avgcc.exeC:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Free\avgwb.datC:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Player\DivX Player.exeC:\Documents and Settings\Ben\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\MHW7KRSP\HijackThis[1].exeR1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blankR1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://www.updatesearches.com/search.php?qq=%1R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.updatesearches.com/bar.htmlR1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.updatesearches.com/search.php?qq=%1R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.updatesearches.com/search.php?qq=%1R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = http://www.updatesearches.com/search.php?qq=%1R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://www.updatesearches.com/search.php?qq=%1R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = http://www.updatesearches.com/O2 - BHO: VMHomepage Class - {FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFA} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\hp8FFF.tmpO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [smcService] C:\PROGRA~1\Sygate\SPF\smc.exe -startguiO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_02\bin\jusched.exeO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottimeO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe"O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [checkrun] C:\windows\system32\eliteryx32.exeO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exeO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RegSvr32] C:\WINDOWS\System32\msmsgs.exeO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PSGuard] C:\Program Files\PSGuard\PSGuard.exeO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AVG7_CC] C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgcc.exe /STARTUPO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AVG7_EMC] C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgemc.exeO4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /backgroundO4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AIM] C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe -cnetwait.odlO4 - HKCU\..\Run: [intel system tool] C:\WINDOWS\System32\hookdump.exeO4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AVG7_Run] C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgw.exe /RUNONCEO4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXEO8 - Extra context menu item: E&xport to Microsoft Excel - res://C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office10\EXCEL.EXE/3000O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_02\bin\npjpi150_02.dllO9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_02\bin\npjpi150_02.dllO9 - Extra button: AIM - {AC9E2541-2814-11d5-BC6D-00B0D0A1DE45} - C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exeO23 - Service: AVG7 Alert Manager Server (Avg7Alrt) - GRISOFT, s.r.o. - C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgamsvr.exeO23 - Service: AVG7 Update Service (Avg7UpdSvc) - GRISOFT, s.r.o. - C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc.exeO23 - Service: iPod Service (iPodService) - Apple Computer, Inc. - C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exeO23 - Service: Sygate Personal Firewall (SmcService) - Sygate Technologies, Inc. - C:\Program Files\Sygate\SPF\smc.exe
