Matt
Hello, I have just downloaded the GIMP hack 'gimpshop'. I think its just GIMP with a photoshop look to it. anyhow, I have very little experience with graphics and imagery (about all I've ever done has involved only MSPaint). Can anyone direct me toward a nice tutorial for this program - or provide some useful beginners instructions?ThanksMatt
tictoc5150
hiya Matt, the 2 places that gave me a place to start were Gimp Tutorials and Gimp User Group.I'm not sure how much the info will vary from the tutorials to using Gimpshop, since the layout might be a little different but it's not like they've added new functions...they just renamed some of the things to be the same as PS.I started out following some of the tutorials to the letter and noticing along the way how each effect could be applied in different amounts and to different things to give totally different effects...It's pretty much up to your imagination after that. DAN6996
I thought I heard that with with Gimpshop you could use many of the Photo Shop tutorials that can be found online....that is why it was setup to look & function like Photo Shop. Good luck!
