Monitor/video Card Problems

Recommended Posts

For the past two weeks, my computer monitor flickers off, then comes back in 8-bit resolution. I installed an Nvidia card about two months ago, but no problem until this. The machine is working properly besides this extrmely annoying issue.

Any help would sure be appreciated. The log is attached.

I feel it important to mention that while I was over, for a time, the monitor wouldn't receive any signal, so we switched the monitor to the old video card that came with the computer. Before I left, I did not switch it back.

1. Go to Start > Settings > Control panel > Add/remove and uninstall Viewpoint Manager.

2. Open Hijackthis and click scan. Then tick and fix the following in Hijackthis with all windows closed except Hijackthis.

3. Reboot and delete the files.

C:\WINDOWS\6dt1iphf.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msg121.dll

4. Then post a new Hijackthis log here in a reply.
