Besttechie
Hey TK!!!How ya been buddy? The log looks clean from here. I'm thinking more along the lines of an ISP problem more than anything else.B
TymeKyller
Hey B!!Doing fine thanks!! Hope all is going well for you!!What kind of ISP problem do you think it is?? They seem to think the opposite... I got a new DSL Modem and everything!! Yahoo messenger comes on MSN messenger works, My HJThis log comes up clean... I really am mind boggled on this one... I had two computers until I took my old pc apart from top to bottom, now I can't try that and see if it is this pc or not. Thanks for the help..

tictoc5150
hiya TK,we were talking about it in #besttechie chat and I mentioned it sounded like a dns problem with your router but cataclysmcow said it's more likely a dns problem on the ISPs end.Not sure where you'd go with this one.I'd still check the dns settings in your router compared to your ISP actual server IPs.My router recently started getting the wrong dns IPs from the ISP and I had to enter them manually...my problem was to the extent of yours but seemed similar. TymeKyller
(bozodog sure wonders how tyme always gets into to the deepest dodo on his puter)HAHAHAH!!!Tyme doesn't use his brains sometimes!! But actually this time, it isn't my fault, the day this happened to me my pc was running the best it ever did. So good that I thought what the hell? I'm going to turn on my system restore for the first time in months, I did that and made a retore point...Hi tictoc5150,I thought it could be my router as well, when I unplugged it and ran it straight from the modem (xbox and pc) still the same thing!! It's gotta be my ISP but, as I mentioned before I can get online/connect... Yahoo works so does MSN messenger, they (my isp) gave me a 60MB file to download and it downloaded in under 2 minutes at 455KB/s....So in their heads, what they are thinking is....."He can get online and download it must be a problem on his part as to why he can't get onto .com sites"., but I barely get onto .net/.org/.ca sites as well, sometimes it will sometimes it won't..My head hurts and I have no clue...Thanks for the help everyone!!P.S, can't even get into B's chat room... Besttechie
Hey Tk,Glad you're doing good. Whats the problem you are having when trying to get into chat?B
TymeKyller
Hey B!!! Just wanted to say this and I will try chat now and see what happens..EDIT>>>When I log into the chat and enter a name and click next, it will just sit there and try to load, and I get a time outEdit>>>>Here is an update for everyone!!The internet problems I was having is for sure on my ISP side. The tech came to my house, at first tried telling me it was spyware or a virus until I talked circles around him and showed him stuff/programs I use. After confirming I knew what I was doing more then they did, he finally went out to his van and got the laptop!!Hooked it up and guess what?? Same thing that happened to my pc/xbox/Linux was happening to his laptop. Some sites loaded others didn't... First words that came out of his mouth was "I've never seen this ever in the ten years I've been working at this job!!"So now I'm on the phone with them seeing what compensation I'm going to be getting out of this mess... Anyways just wanted to tell you what was wrong, when you guys/gals see someone that are having the same symptoms and you've tried it all, you may want to check the ISP on their side not yours...Thanks for the help everyone, sometimes problem are just out of your hands and there is nothing you can do. Personally I hate those situations more then anyone, but hey, what can ya do? Take CareTyme
Besttechie
Hmm, not sure. Maybe it had to do with your problem? If you need help post in the IRC forum and then we can help you setup a real IRC client. B
