dont know. how would i find out?

If you don't know if you're using OpenDNS you probably aren't. This seems rather strange. The computers that are able to access Facebook, do they have all the same programs, etc installed? For example, did you run CCleaner on those machines? I've seen CCleaner remove stuff it shouldn't occasionally.

And to clarify, this only happens on Facebook? No other site at all (currently)?

B

yup only face book,

one of the machines doesnt even have ccleaner so it cant be that

Go to the command prompt - Start - Run - type cmd and hit enter.

In the dialog box type: ping facebook.com

Paste us the results or at least tell us if you're able to ping it or if it times out.

B

ok

ping results

Packets: sent = 4, Received = 4, lost = 0 (0% loss)

round trip times

min = 186ms, max= 188ms, avg = 187 ms

You may still be infected. I'm going to ask you to post in our Malware Removal forum to have one of the malware removal experts take a look just to confirm it's not an infection that is causing this. Please follow the directions in the post below:

so any computer that uses wireless with that router has the issue? Then it's likely the router is bad. Well, maybe not bad but it ain't handling something correctly. A firmware upgrade could possibly fix it.

gone searching for firmware upgrade .. apparently isnt one

right as far as i can tell your malware guys, dont think i'm infected.

i've heard about a possible MTU router tweak that could fix this.

what is that and how would i do it?

i just updated the firmware last night and still no joy.

still no face book on any machine with a wireless connection to my router, but the hardwired computer still shows it normally

I think you misread Rorschach's post. If I read it correctly, he was telling you to remove those applications and try running security check again. I don't believe he gave you the clean bill of health (yet).

Also where did you hear about the MTU tweak? It seems that would be quite an unlikely fix... have you messed with router settings lately (before this started happening)?

Were you ever able to access the site via wireless?

Please tell Rorschach about the problems you are experiencing and also provide me links to those forums you found mention of the tweak on.
