leppy
Forgive me for not knowing Macs, I am a PC guy but, my wife has Macbook running OS X Version 10.5.5. Every time she opens either Excel 2008 12.1.3 or powerpoint 12.1.3 they both crash. She said this has happened in Word but once in the past 3 months whereas it is every time with Excel and Powerpoint. Other than taking it into the store (which they are supposed to fix computers right there.....right?) or reinstalling Office 08, does anyone have any ideas to try or any good Mac help sites? And yes I did Google this first with no luck. Thanks for any help!
iccaros
do you have the crash log..is she opening spreadsheets created somewhere else, Microsoft removed VB support from the Mac version of office and that has been known to be a reason for crashes.. Leave it to MS to make products not compatible with them selves.
isteve
Try opening the programs in another account. If it works do a search in the main account for the microsoft plist files and toss them in the trash and open excel/powerpoint.
