Change A Font

I recently got a new PC and am using XP Pro SP3 with a 19 inch LCD monitor. By going into Display - Appearance - Advanced , I've changed most of the fonts to my liking except one and I can't figure out how to do it. Some example areas where this font, I don't like, is used is: Pretty much all of Spybot S&D, the Java based chat client used by Pogo Games and also in Yahoo Messenger such as on its menu and drop down menus. I can change other fonts in Messenger except those I just mentioned. It's the same font used in all these programs which makes me think there is some way to change it. The font is too thin and compact and hard to read. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
