Apparently I'm On My Own

Edit: As I used the system it got sluggish and I found McAfee was trying, yet again, to complete an update. Daily updates usually take a few seconds to a few minutes, this time it was taking much longer. I decided to let 'er rip and see what I get. It updated successfully, so ... I guess I'll put off the inevitable a little longer.

My virus scanner (McAfee) tried to update and failed. I tried everything and I believe they simply do not support 9x any more. They have a "legacy" app section for 9x, but that failed to install too.

Fine, it's time to get rid of it anyway, so I downloaded a free virus scanner and firewall. I'll be busy trying to get McAfee uninstalled and the new apps installed. Wish me luck! :D
