jer1 Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 Hi and I would like to know a program or programs that can help me eliminate some of the processes that are currently running on my computer when I boot it up.I have something like 37 processes and I realize that those are not all necessary and at one time, I had a program or application that suggested which ones were necessary on boot up and those that were not.If any of you know the link to a program or programs that accomplish what I am asking, please give me the name or a link to that program Thanks in advance for any help or answers given. Look here (click) for the gadget you want--folks recommend Codestuff Starter and Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel for ease of use.I must admit I've never used these gadgets (I have hardly anything on my computer...it's a "mommy computer" email and surfing...) but the experts here will chime in with any tips if needed.And another point for the experts to chime in on--I don't *think* 37 processes isn't in the realm of too many, from what I've read. I assume you are running Windows XP? Right now, on my Vista Ultimate machine I am running 82 processes. Any particular processes you were looking to eliminate?
