Even just opening my mail is sometimes slow. I update everytime the little icon tells me to. You could check your memory usage with the free commandshane@mainbox ~ $ free total used free shared buffers cachedMem: 516192 509944 6248 0 18652 364356-/+ buffers/cache: 126936 389256Swap: 498004 7944 490060the number 389256 is my actual unused memory.
