What Are You Listening To Right Now?

... Clannad is the name of a Japanese Visual Novel game ...

I wondered there for a second why you'd look 'em up. I wonder "what" it actually means? (Yeah, I could look it up ... )

Oldies today:

Alice Cooper

Cheap Trick

Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Janis Joplin

Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul doesn't quite fit with the others, but I was pickin' "Greatest Hits" CD so that's how it got picked.

Uriah Heap - Fallen Angel

Good God, Uriah Heep. I have them in 8 track. I've got to find an old player somewhere and play some of that stuff. Black Oak Arkansas, Savoy Brown, Procul Harum--all the bigs. What of my favorite 8 track features: Playing part of the song, reaching the end of the channel, a pause while the channel changes, song resumes.

Man, my 69 chevy van (with curtains and bean bag chairs and don't forget that pea green shag rug--what a babe magnet LOL!) toolin' around with the 8 track blarin'!

Listening to Buddy Guy "First Time I Met The Blues" right now

... Uriah Heep ... Black Oak Arkansas, Savoy Brown, Procul Harum ...

Every time I see a "Greatest Hits" CD for one of those I am SO tempted. But I suspect I'll wind up scratching my head, wondering, "What was I thinking?" :)

"Jim Dandy to the RESCUE!"

Well, the best of Uriah Heep or Black Oak Arkansas might be a stretch, but a best of Savoy Brown is a good listen.

Saw them of the same bill with Fleetwood Mac in 1973 at the Salem,Or Armory.

Oh God, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. Now THAT song was a phenomena! If you know the song you can't even say the name without running the opening notes through your mind.

I'm on a Willie Nelson kick at the moment (oh Lord, I have EIGHT CD's of Willie's).

Holy cow! That's hilarious. That poor organist.

Also reminds me how many "rock" songs could be used as hymns ("I love You," "I'll be true to You," "You mean so much to me," etc.).

Today's queue:

B.B. King

The Celtic Circle 2

The Fray

U2

Is there ANY rhyme or reason? Nope.
