IE7 doesn't remove IE6. Tell your friend to follow the above directions to see if the IE6 Favorites folder still exists.

Uninstall the graphics driver in Add/Remove Programs then reboot the computer. Reinstall the drivers.

I have heard of a couple of tricks to stop the Canons from looking for the chip. I'll be testing this as soon as the ink runs low on my Pixma iP1600. I did locate the spots to refill the the color ink cartridge by tearing an old one apart. I am also working on making the printer recognize the oversize cartridges that fit in the printer.

Do you have CCleaner set to make backups before deleting? If so go to the folder that the backups are stored in and double click the one that contains that file or if not try reinstalling WMP11 over itself. If it is still in Add/Remove click the Change/Remove button and see if there is a repair option.

I can run AdAware and all it finds is a couple of MRUs. SpyBot finds nothing afterwards. Panda stops the crap before it loads. It's fun visiting websites with spyware and watching Panda go crazy warning me it blocked bad cookies, attempted driveby downloads and other evil s**t. Panda's heuristic feature has proven itself many times.

I just logged into Google Page Creator through my Gmail account. If you have a Gmail account you could use that to create a web page but it is a PITA. It is like our BT Blogs here. I have been trying to create a Whiskeyman sig and have hit roadblocks plus failed miserably figuring it out. I can't get PSP7 to install. So far I can handle 4 hours with the volume set at 7 on my stereo. Anything longer and my brain vibrates. I need to pick up a patch cable to hook my CD player to my stereo so I can really test them out with my Zeppelin 4 album set. I also need to get the inline volume control. Sometimes going from one music source to the next can really slam your brain. I am feeding everything through my stereo except the portable CD player. Maybe I'll break down and buy a new receiver/amp that uses a remote.

SP3 is supposed to be released in a few months after Vista. I would wait then slipstream it. You could also use the free version of Acronis True Image 7.0 to create a backup image of your installation. More info on the Acronis free download.
