  3. I need to put a calendar on website. It needs to be 12 months. Some days need to be color coded throughout the year. I can do it with multiple tables, MS Expressions web will only allow me to have 25 rows in a table. I have it in excel as a download for now. Also my background will not extend to the bottom of the last table. I think I can have the background stationary and have the page scroll over it. Looking for pointers and suggestions. The site is html with style sheets. Mike

  6. I need to remove the HDD on a Toshiba Satellite 1805-S207. I found what looks to be the hdd cover on the left side corner under the laptop. It has one screw, removed the screw, can't remove the cover. On Dells it is similar to this soooo...maybe Toshiba is different. Mike

  12. Try going in to the properties of the network connection then configure for the adapter, now power options. set this to not power off. If this does not work then I would look at the device upstream from it, either the router or modem going in to a stand by state or possibly warning you it is ready for replacement. Mike
  13. Does this happen while the connection is active? A quick release/renew would be to disable then re-enable the adapter.
  14. We use Cisco's VPN client. On one network there could be about 100+ workstations connected at any given time.

  17. Download and install ccleaner. The cleaner button will clean all temp files and what not. There is a list on the screen as to what it will clean. You can also analyze before you delete anything. The issues button is a "lite" registry cleaner. It will ask to make a backup of the registry in your my documents folder, DO IT. After making the backup you can clean the files one by one or all at once. After doing this reboot and give you machine a test ride to see if the errors are still there and the machine is still slow. A slow start up could be all the applications starting in the background th

  19. They are running an Active Directory domain. The drives are really folders on the server. It should be set as C:\ for the OS and D:\ for everything else. The new server they want, is it going to be a file server? Or another domain controller? Either way you want some serious processor and ram. If not you will be chasing down poor performance complaints from the users. I know a little about servers and active directory. Mike
  20. Dell has training for the different models it produces. You have to retest every so often to stay current. I would think you would want other certifications so you could pull in the Dell customer for other non warranty work. I can point you to a good video training solution if you want. M
  21. Looking for a nic card for a server. Mac OS X forgot the build. I would like to book mark a good supplier of parts for reference. Mike
