Hi Jaspossom I also went to Avast when my Norton subscription ran out. So far it works well for me. I have XP Home. I don't have anything under the short cut icon for Avast but found this.....seems to be maybe a plug-in. Maybe read this and see if it helps you. Avast Forum

I never had a problem with any of the Build updates(knock on wood). But I'm glad that Lavasoft worked out a fix for the people who had some issues. Way to go "Lavasoft"...!! I know when I was installing programs on my daughters computer when I was visiting her, this was a great source to go to rather than google everyone of them. When it was on the old Techtv boards I just went to the thread and bookmarked it . A lot of information and programs all in one place sure made it easier.
