At one point of time MSN.com had banners that would load spyware if you clicked on them (very common throughout the internet anyways) -

Should I Go Sata For New System.
xxkbxx replied to Honda_Boy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Worst case senario (this happened yesterday) The MOBO won't initialize the SATA drive, so you boot off the windows CD, and plug the SATA signal cable into the drive before Windows searches for hardware. This will initialize the drive, and you'll be fine. The Biostar board would detect the SATA drive, but it wouldn't allow itself to boot without it being initialized. Go SATA -

Need Technical Advice...fix Comp. Or Buy New?
xxkbxx replied to slippybippy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Just get a $10 video card. Really! I doubt you will be able to return the board (w/out paying a high restocking fee anyways, which would cost more than the video card) Is the slot by chance AGP? If so, PM me and we can work one out. As far as Windows goes, you will need to run a repair installation after you put in the new MOBO. It's really not that difficult, you can get a lot of help here on the forum if there's problems -

If you go SATA - don't get a cheapie board, that's where the problem is. I had no problem with my ASUS, but I did when I built with a Biostar board -
Sorry now pics! But, people keep unplugging it cause it's so bright!

He already knows about it - I mentioned that people on my forum said it would be a good plan - followed by "what forum?" and so on. It should be a pretty good PC when I'm done with it, I've already physically cleaned it up - but I'll have to fight modding the thing!

So, despite my personal hatred of non custom PC's, especially Dell, I bought a Dell computer today. So - what could possibly push me to doing something so stupid? A bargain!!! For $44 I got a 2 year old Dell with a P4 2.66, 512 RAM, DVD Rom, Creative Sound Blaster, but - alas - no hard drive. I got it from a girl who I built a new computer for (she put the old hard drive in her new PC, so her old one is without one) She had no need for it, and it's kind of hard to sell a computer without a hard drive to a regular person, so I bought it from her. My plan is to replace my Dad's home office co

1st off, what's a Partial reformat? BSOD is ussually caused by corrupted Windows files/faulty hardware (ussually RAM) -
Sony Ericson K750i - I've got one with a 1GB Memory stick. I was going to get the Motorola Rocker, but the sony is much better (2 Megapixel Camera, videos, and such) Comes with a usb adaptor cord to transfer files too!

New Notherboard Has No Video Output?

(or at least looked at the pictures?) -
Just so you know - you don't have to have a branded 550+ PSU, I have a Cooler Master 350W - and it powers ALOT (ASUS A8N, AMD X2, Geoforce 6800 GS, SATA 300 HDD, DVD RW, DVD ROM, Fan Controller, HDD Fan, PCI Fan, Large case fan, small front case fan, 2 cold cathode bars, 1 strip of 12 LED's, ect. You get my picture? I'm pretty sure there isn't enough power here for SLI, but 350W of a REPUTABLE company is fine for most people

I have a Savings and Checking account setup with online banking. It's been neccessary for PayPal purchases on eBay. I had the thing set up when I was 14 (with joint ownership). Your best bet would be to get a Savings Account.

I pinpointed your problem ... Nah, it sounds like a possible power supply. One thing I've seen do this before was the power or reset switch being loose at the front of the case. Everytime the wires would short it would reset the computer - this won't be an issue unless you've noticed problems with your switch lately

Sporadic Lag Issues While Playing Games
xxkbxx replied to Str8PlayinU's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
My wireless signal is weak (2 bars) and I never lag out when playing COD or BF2. All I have is a Linksys WRT546 and some cheapo wireless card
