Today my daughter-in-laws Firefox 3.01crashed for some reason. I could not get it to start and got error box saying it had crashed and to send report to Firefox and to restart firefox. Which I did and got the same message. I then tried to use ERUNT to restore, but that failed. I thought that maybe the profile had become corrupted, so I used Mozbackup to restore the backup profile but it said it was corrupted. I then made a new profile and imported saved bookmarks and passwwords. I have installed all extensions and themes that she had before. My problem is now I can not get the webpage and fon

For IE that would be a global windows setting Right click desktop , choose properties, appearance, advanced I think the item in question is menu, may be title bar . Thank You Pete_C, That was what I was looking for. It was menu plus fonts. Now my tired old eyes can see things better.

Ok, I have FF3 set the way I like it now. This question is about IE7. Although I don't use it that much I have the fonts set so it is easy for me to read the web pages. However I would like to make the menu bar (file-edit-view-etc, etc.) words larger. In FF3 I added a script to Chromedit Plus to make those words bigger. Is there a similar way to do the same thing in IE7? Thanks

Thanks TT_75. That fixed the problem. I have played around with it and I think they will not notice that the page fits the screen now ,but the letters are big. I am going to see if they notice anything or if they think the words are not big enough. I think they will think it is alright. Thanks everybody for helping me. Update: So far they have not made any comments after using the computer. I believe they are satisfied.

She is using Firefox 2.0.0.15 updated. I have not updated them to FF 3 yet. I am going to wait until it does it automatically. If I change the DPI do I leave the resolution at 1024 by 768? I think that is what you are saying. Everything has to be automatic or they will have a fit and mess everything up. Thanks for the reply Spazmatic. Yes this method will leave the resolution so that the icons and everything are smaller, the text will just be larger. Tried it and it did not work. Only the fonts in the browser got larger. The Yahoo web page stayed the same. Lettering did not get any bigger. W

The specs are: Dell Inspiron 530s intel® corel 2Duo cpu E45oo @ 2.20GHZ 2.19GHZ, 2.99GHZ I have been setting it up for her and am having a problem with my son and her wanting to set it at 800 by 600 pixels. Sector errors is what Nero says when I ask to verify. I use new cd's each time. I tried to install one to a HD any way and it keep stopping saying a file was missing or corrupt, I think. I keep by passing the bad files, but it would not complete. As I said before I have slipstreamed SP2 regular and SP3 and both work.

I have slipstreamed Xp-sp2 and Xp-sp3 and installed on test hd without any problems, but want to wait until MS has all problems solved with SP3 as I have had to uninstall SP3. I am trying to make a XP-SP2 cd with all the updates. However when I try to slipstream Ryans Update Pack I keep getting errors when I burn the cd. I first copy XP-SP2 using my legal cd to a folder on my HD. I then D/L WindowsKB835935-sp2-ENU to it's own folder. Then I integrate it to xp-sp2. I then extract XP Setup Boot Image to that folder. I then run Ryans Integrator and choose source and destination and update pack. A

My sons Compaq Presario sr1012nx was bought from a discount warehouse. It only has a recovery partition. No XP cd came with it. I activated it using the coa on the sticker on the computer. We have used that code to keep XP updated. Sysstem specs shows an entirely different coa code. I use my copy of XP to make a new install on another HD and have tried both coa's but neither will activate. 1) Will I have to call MS in India to get it activated and what do I tell them? Hi Falcon1986. I did first use copy and paste and slipstreamed SP3 and it worked using Autostreamer (589mg). I did go back and make another folder and let Nlite copy the files to another folder and integrated Ryan's SP2 update and after making the ISO it came in at 582mgs. I then made another folder and used Autostreamer to make another ISO image. It was 581mg. I used Nero to burn both cd's. The one from Nlite took a long time to show the XP splash screen, which makes me think it is bad. The cd from Autostreamer showed the XP splash screen within a few seconds. OK--I finally figured out how to use the Integrator after I D/L a program to open the RAR file. It took 4039 seconds to integrate and then a little over 30 minutes to make an ISO image. However the image is 707mbs and my disc's are only 700mbs, so I can't burn it. This is all new to me so I don't know how to make the ISO smaller.

Remember I'm old and slow, so don't expect me to hurry. Oh--My son has just informed me that he has a virus or something as the Startup Monitor wants to know if he wants to add something to the startup. But when he says NO it just pops up again. Thanks TT_75. This is my first time trying to slipstream XP. I discovered that I already had AutoStreamer in my program files, but I had not installed it. To be truthful, I could not remember what it was. I installed it and then when it loaded my XP-sp2, integrated sp3 and made the iso image, it said it would take about 25 minutes to complete. After 25 minutes I opened Nero and started the burn process. It seemed to hang at 3% and I thought "Here I go again". After about 2mins. and 45 seconds it jumped to 4% and then completed in about 8 minutes. I then tried it out on a spare HD and it insta

I am using my legal XP-SP2 disc and Nlite to slipstream SP3. I follow all the steps and make an ISO Image with SP3 in it and put it on my c drive. I then use Nero 6 and click on Data-Make Bootable CD. I follow the steps and burn it to a CD-RW and then it says burn was successful. I then tried the new cd and the XP splash screen came up like on the original cd. I then tried to install on a spare HD, but part way it rebooted and a dos screen came up saying I needed " Caldera DR-DOS". Now I can not make another disc. It burns but it won't open. Anybody know what I am doing wrong? Thanks

Just ran a test on my son's Compaq Presario using a cloned spare HD. IE6 works fine but is not listed in Add/Remove. IE7 was hidden in updates to keep from being reminded to D/L. D/L SP3 and rebooted computer. After reboot it showed IE6. Installed IE7 and rebooted but IE7 still would not connect to internet. Add/Remove showed IE7 and was able to remove it and go back to IE6. So if you do have IE6 running and install SP3 you can uninstall IE7 and go back to IE6. I am still going to wait on his computer before I install SP3. Hope this helps someone.
