  1. Hi just received an email from Miss Fae, that was class of her to inform me, but unlikely return to say goodbye.

Tho will respond to see hows she is doing.

Hmm never been unbanned before haha

    ----------------------

Hi Marsh, it's MissFae. I don't know if this email will find it's way to you but I'm hoping you are well.

If you don't already know, the G4 forums are going to be deleted on March 18th.

This is an open invitation for you to come back for the last few weeks if you want. Just let me know.

Sure do remember May 04, wow a long time ago already.

Been spending my time with the satellite internet forums, WB Exede cooking away at 21 Mb/s.

A beta tester for Hughes Jupiter (Gen4) one of 122 trying to make Gen4 work.

Wasn't ready for prime time at launch or now and certainly only the uninformed fall victim.

Hope to return again, hmm if you had a satellite topic thread ?

Life has been very good to me...

  2. Hi bozodog

I'm very curious of this 28 day aged, prime porterhouse.

21 years discovered the Food Saver vacuum pack machine at a trade show, only have aged a steak maybe a week in the refrigerator.

So tender I'll have to try again, thanks for the memories.

Ouch we had 18" snow here for leap year 29 Feb so here's what I saw, thankfully I had the truck ready to go, car safe in the garage.

Porch charcoaler had to wait its turn.

Take care and please let me know.

  3. Hi Marty

Sad to see more Earth Quake's shake again for you my friend.

Someday I will visit south of the equator to see your sun to the north during your summer now.

Fascinates me this small world with the web.

  4. Hi Bozodog

Ouch re-reading the joke again is a lot closer to reality than others may think.

In Wisconsin we can even walk on water (ice) fishing.

We sure got more bars than many per population.

Too much kool aid at the uncles farm decided to ride a milk heifer cow, did well until I got hungry for a rare beef steak, what's a soft bite on the neck darn ground is hard besides a possible cow pie.

Yep my uncle said she never forgot me and would run away when spotting my car or me.

Said to say a true story, but live and learn to put the kool aid down earlier haha

Thought oof-dah was reserved for the upper Mi. crowd.

Milking a cow and to squirt a barn cat, we became friends.

Heavy forbid if my gas station didn't have live bait or kool aid.

Go Pack Go and repeat the Super Bowl, Go Badgers Go to the Rose Bowl.

  5. Odd as a long time bachelor decided it's time to upgrade from the turkey Swanson TV dinner.

From Hungary Man version to ->

Bought a 3# turkey breast, fresh yams, stove top dressing, cranberries etc including a pumpkin pie that will last for days.

    Coming out of character haha

Walking on the fresh snowfall barefooted is more like me.

Happy turkey day and with my Packers playing the Lions makes for a great day.

Does life get any better haha ?

    Too be continued...

  6. I have been hoarding hard drives for our repair business, I think I have a three month supply. I got most of them at a reasonable price :-)

Hi, not sure what hoarding means ?

SCD (super cool dude) from G* is an example of 10+ years with 'hoarding' haha

Wise thoughts from shanenin with word changes for the Google hits.

To get on page one is critical as few go beyond that, a fact of life.

With the price of SSD coming down in a big way, add solid state drives words ?

I've had mine for 14 months a Patriot came with a 10 year warranty that was proven a month into use failed with pure satisfaction from them.

Any new electronics device is subject to fail quickly and the rest will probably last a lifetime.

The price has really come down from my $349 a 128GB...

  7. The garden is just coming in, fresh broccoli about to flower so it is finally time to harvest, french dip for pure taste unlike imported stores have.

Ah 1st dig of the year she was a red potato, so now I know what rows are red or white, pinched a few chives from my 20 y/o plant, besides the beautiful flowers.

Add a little sour cream and Smart Balance, life doesn't get better haha

Ouch with 12 tomato plants my 1st born ripe (early girl) will be a few more day, keeping a watch on her.

Unless you've had a fresh organic grown you will not understand me the difference in taste.

My neighbor has about 1,000 square feet of sweet corn and they are the expert for the sweetest corn, an open offer to help myself anytime will be maybe 2 weeks.

Ever heard the saying have the water boiling when picking corn cob, is really true as corn wants to turn to starches within a short time.

Impressed my mail lady with Day Lily so edible flower even without the cottage cheese and cherry on the top.

A special taste amongst the other edible flowers and there are many, columbine or nasturtium for a peppery taste.

Chicken breast marinating in a zip lock baggie, just whatever guessed at olive oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, pepper a hit and miss before the charcoal grill.

    The wait is on.

Hi Pete, a Google search lead me to a very old thread, venture only if you wish for memories...Posted 16 August 2005 - 07:56 AM

Since I still have Miss Fae's Gmail, time to find the answer why that other forum banned me, Chappy banned hurt me to just know that.

Hi TT, sorry to hear about potassium, mine low has been since a kid with feet cramping and swimming scared me.

Until I discovered the banana before my doctors knew better.

My fiance died of kidney failure and I did understand why she refused dialysis, her sister in law went a few years before passing so much effort for a few years.

Life goes on in different directions.

Hi Peaches, love that avatar, because I use "Tin Eye" for playing with the scam artists from dating sites using stolen picture albums, only fair I waste their time.

  8. Still haven't heard if they are having the annual fireworks display at the country club down the street this year.

All of a sudden, I’m not in the mood for hot dogs this 4th of July. Enjoy!

I did so well this year staying inside the house in the deep country life only a few fireworks explosions in the far distance.

No longer does incoming mortars or rockets or AK 47 trouble me any longer, imagine that...

  9. Jesus!!!!... a 7.8 quake hit today in northern NZ.. I sure hope you are okay Marty....

    Hi Keith and Marty

On a different thread here I mentioned a news flash another quake but not informed enough to comment, Fox/CNN/Msnbc etc are still busy with Casey Anthony case, murder in the USA boogles my mind for what it's worth my long time friend.

Good grief Marty my only concerns have been with over sized mosquito's birds

Tho I do like to rock and roll you are still getting hit that hurts me

  10. and Smart Balance spread. Just what the dialysis dietitian didn't order.

Hi TT, so nice to see you using Smart Balance a wise choice all the VA hospitals use.

Actually good for the human body with the Omega-3

Are you aware of Morton's salt substitute is all Potassium, shake on as much as wished or go eat more bananas haha

Ungodly hot now near 80f, seldom go outside in that heat except to the deck later and will try this one from Mr Food ->

Down sized for just me, darn almost asked my mail lady, 1 hour left on her route and cute/classy to fall in love again.

Darn a news flash New Zealand had another earthquake off shore north.

  11. -> When I'm not using my computer: <-

Hi Peaches, I shut down because using laptop's in my recliner chair doesn't get any better, nonsense to sit at a desk.

-> What is the first thing you do when your computer's performance starts to deteriorate? <-

Doesn't happen to me but for friends defrag, then using Disk Cleaner (1.5.7 free) dumps temporary/system files and whatever else I care to clean with a simple click.

The purple funnel icon for identification.

Most likely a scan with MBAM (quick scan is sufficient), seldom does a virus shows up with their anti virus program.

Run a spyware scan, then install Ghostery, Btw this site has 4 tracking cookies that are blocked from knowing I'm here.

TMN (Track Me Not) absolutely amazing how many are blocked. Both are free.

-> What Do You Use Your Computer For? <-

Mail and searching the power of the internet still continues to amaze me how far we have progressed.

    What's a library card haha

Stunning how far have we have come, in 1966 a simple calculator was only a future dream maybe $600-900 but way too heavy to carry class to class.

Dependent on the slide rule, Pete used the slang word slip stick, darn thing couldn't add or subtract, electronics design/repair is heavy very into math, so many hours to learn.

  12. Hi Marty

I've been thinking of you as our (USA) northern hemisphere summer came 21 June means your 1st day of winter, imagine that such a small world with the internet.

Last month the moon was at it's closest to earth and some other condition the scientists said to be special ?

Oh sure I took some pictures, it was diffidently slightly bigger, as Jdoors said, tho the moon controls the tides but little else.

Going naked outside to howl at the moon was futile.

Take care my friend the best you can...

  13. haha I've lived most my life in denial when a few days ago was near frost 33f, "deny" then 2 days of 90f in a row, I don't even consider going outside above 79, a better day will come long before the 10 mile run for milk and bread to civilization.

Tho I heard that rich boy abandoned and went to Miami as tho I care less.

Hey Pete my VA dentist was there for the super bowl spent $11,000 for the trip, wives can be expensive but precious.

  14. But bored has no limits, interesting thread with speed the normal person has.

Country living pays a heavy price at $ 84 each for both Hughes and Wild Blue satellite equals $168 monthly, imagine that !

475mb Hughes daily or 17gb monthly with WB. and/or pay the FAP price or live with throttled down to dial up speed...

  15. Hi Nerelda, nice find and happy for you.

Last year bought my in house nurse Kelli a Dell laptop, my 1st and only experience with the brand, ah it has been so dependable and trouble free.

I have total respect for Dell now.

Wow i7 cpu and 8GB of fast ram, don't even worry/consider a SSD, your 7,200 rpm will be more than fast enough for your needs.

haha boot time waking up in a daze and power up means little, oh sure a re boot at times tho is quite livable.

Hope you give us a test report after some usage, hard for me to comprehend how many raw image tabs open with Photo shop,

    couldn't get any better girl...

  16. Oh please keep this thread going, being a diabetic as some others here are.

So hard to eat when I/we need to, forced into eating with no desire to is quite a chore at times.

    I need some more inspiration...

    Yesterday another attempt at meatloaf

    1/2 # black Angus hamburger

1/4 # pork sausage hoping for more flavor

1/3 cup of oatmeal for a filler

    1 raw egg

1 hard boiled egg, made for a perfect texture

Salt (Nu salt by Morton is potassium not sodium) like in a banana the body needs to prevent cramping of the feet and hands

    Black pepper

    A1 steak sauce

    Worcester sauce

Ketchup both in the filer and later topped off with brown sugar/ketchup

Chopped onion, next time will add green pepper and more of something ?

If only I could ask mom her recipe as a kid a lifetime ago

Tho microwave reheats makes it better but getting burned out after 3

So maybe malt-o-meal or oatmeal with toast will work tonight

Hard decisions with life but ~Goes on in different Directions~ haha

  17. Hi RV, forgive me but for what reason to alert new updates.

MBAM updates so many times a day is already at data base 6091 at this time of posting 4pm cst.

Paid version and always about 6MB would hurt dial up users, my Hughes FAP is 475MB in 24 hours, exceed then I suffer 24 hours at dial up.

Please help me with e-mails to MBAM for updates to be only what's new in this crazy world.

Why the entire data base of 6MB when only less than 100KB was needed for an update.

NIS (Norton) and Spyware Doctor has done that for a couple years.

  18. I don't know enough about win7 or the latest processors to know what works how well, which is why I'm asking for assistance.

I found one laptop which I think might be alright, but I'm second guessing myself. Here's the specs:

    * Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)

    * Processor Intel Core i5-520M 2.40GHz (2.93Ghz Turbo Mode, 3M cache)

    * 320 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM) (I only hold files on there temporarily, but all files go to my external drive when finished, so not really needing anything more)

    * 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (2 DIMMs)

    * Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD

Hi Nerelda, sure been a long time ago and far away.

Troubles me why anybody would settle for 5400 RPM ? Just doesn't make any sense unless going for extra minutes of battery life.

Many years ago upgraded to a 7200 RPM drive and was the biggest improvement to be made with the XP laptop, still clearly remember the gain in performance.

I now have a years experience with a SSD (solid state drive), Patriot carries a 10 year warranty, incredible the performance beyond words.

Now seeing prices incredible low (?) for drives, you exactly said why need more with external drives for storage.

If I knew your budget ? So many deals with e-mail fliers sorry haven't paid much attention.

You will love Win 7 and 64-bit, you are only held back from that slow hard drive.

May I ask what lappy model you quoted ?

  19. Hi Pete

I'm still a little too jumpy to let the cat out of the bag because of chasing a G4 stalker lawsuit, too much invested to blow it.

Bet you might know who is.

A different case 4 years ago, another poster used my account at G4 (sorry for swearing) Mike was only able to give me the ISP login from an hour away.

Futile effort until IT logged off was, solved by my password change.

This case, clear cookies and the cache.

Sure hope I don't contribute to wrong.

haha how many times would I wish to do more poll voting on an issue, but for testing purpose only...

  20. Hi Marty my long time friend.

Thanks for the link to see what's going on your side of the world.

Our national news CNN/Fox/MSNBC/CBS/ABC/NBC, etc has not been carrying much updates if any lately.

Such a small world now with the internet, still continues to amaze me after 21 years, haha but that's easy to happen to me.

I'm so sad for your troubles in a serious way.

    Words don't help much.

Thanks for the e-mail return so we can keep in touch better.

Lucky you without water doing a stool outside, not recommended here with all this snow, imagine that.

Summer for you on the other side of the equator.

EDIT: at my time of posting 2:35am CST, it's 9:40pm there, boggles my mind
