did you try ntpassword? Then boot to safe mode; login with user name Administrator and leave password blank. Then you can change the other account to admin and put in passwords . ==================================================================== ok thanks pete i got in this way and all is ok now thanks again god what would i do with out your expertise now i will take matts advice and make a account floppy thanks all marty

pete does this mean i have to reinstall windows to reset the admin account so far i cant get in any where to reset it i unchecked it by accident it dosent make any difference to the compt i can still use it for normal things ther is no provisions for security or safe mode or importantly restore i seem to be buggered thanks marty

ok pete ime in trouble here i went in and unchecked the admin account box now i cant get back in now when i try to access the user account the ok is blotted out how do reactivevate that admin account it is the admin account that is the problem i cant get in and restore nor can i get safe mode any one help or do i reinstall vista hope i can get help marty

sorry no where in this link of yours does it show how to change or delete the admin password it shows how to change an account password i know how to delete or change the password in xp but vista is a bit different it is a the language ime confused with if i could just delete the bloody thing all would be ok i dont want to have to reinstall vista i thought the board might help maybe jsky may have an answer marty

hi team tonight i had trouble with vista and ubuntu 9.4 the screen was giving me a grub error which meant i had to repair the mbr ive forgotten the administrative pass word how and where do i go to to change it or not have to use it in vista hp marty

thanks i suppose a sys is only as good as the user but ime intrigued with these updates 91 in all and they fit on a small sys the hdd is a 6.8 ram 128 cpu 400 these i could increase but it is only an experement thanks again marty

in all the years ive posted on boards ive read many downside to win me well ive come in posseion of a disk and i loaded it onto an old compt and i havent had any trouble it is better than win 98 and in the bargain win up date has all the up dates which i have loaded i remember bearskin swearing by this sys when we all thought it was a nono the compt i have it on is very small but there is plenty of scope for it any one got any ideas i do not think ile use it because i have xp vista ubuntu but i havent found any bugs in win me yet any one comment marty

hi liz we have some cases here 3 schools who went to mexico on a school student exchange have all bin diagnosed with some sort of flu 66 in all i think 4 have swine flu it seems to be young people with it i read where between 16 and 21 was the average age of what deaths have occured so my theory young people havent got the immunitys yet tho hope fully no one dies of it marty

i have exp 8 but found it no dif from 7 one of the reasons i surf safe is an application called scared scared to surf here scared to surf there ok it is boring but safe as a result i havent had trouble for a long time and i notice when i installed ex8 these updates came thick and fast in regards to firefox in the old days it was firefox v the others now the firefox users dont push there barrow like they used to now it is used extensively the has come under fire from the naughty brigade so it is now in the same catergory as IE i havent used any other browser than IE so ime no browser autho
