  1. I forgot to mention that he ran Malwarebytes prior to sending me his Hijackthis log. Malwarebytes found about a dozen baddies, which it removed after the scan. Edd.
  2. Hi all, A friend of mine has an issue. His PC caught something nasty, and whenever he uses Google, he gets sent to moxiesearch.com. His Facebook also messes up. I asked him to run a scan with Hijackthis, so here it is. He's on Windows XP, by the way. Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 12:27:39 AM, on 1/3/2009 Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.6001.18241) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\s
  3. Nope, that's it Thanks for all your help!
  4. Kaspersky did not find anything. I saved a report from each scan thrice, but for some reason, it wouldn't show up anywhere on my computer. Here's the Hijackthis log: My computer is running well now - just like it should be Thanks for your help, Ryan!
  5. The pop-up is gone! Thank you so much! But here's another log file from HijackThis generated just now:
  6. Followed above instructions. Here is the report:
  7. Hi there! I've been getting this pop-up whenever I open anything in My Documents. When I click Cancel, it takes me to this site: http://free-viruscan.com/id/4912933/4/1/ I ran a virus scan with McAfee, and found nothing. I know there is something fishy going on. Anyway, I ran HijackThis, so here's the log file: Rest assured, I will respond quickly to this topic Thanks in advance for the help!
  8. Oh, sorry about this. My hard drive went corrupt and had to purchase a new one. I gave the old one for data recovery, but clearly, I am fine now. Thanks for helping and sorry for the trouble. Edd.
  9. Hello everyone, I have been experiencing quite a bit of pop ups today while surfing the web. I was fine till last night, and when I got on today, I get popups from things like SystemDoctor, Drivescanner, and other similar stuff. Basically, its just stuff that I never got till today. I have two internet browsers - Firefox and IE. I never have any kind of junk on my laptop since I use it for work, so I just don't know how this happened. Here's my HijackThis log: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.0 (BETA) Scan saved at 11:07:51 AM, on 7/12/2007 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) Boo
