  1. Part of a quote from Linus Torvalds (taken from linux.org):
  2. I'm not a C programmer, but I am a little able in PHP. First, you are using an undefined variable here on the right side of the assignment operator ('=' sign). You assigned the input from the keyboard to float1, not celsius: fahrenheit = (celsius * 1.8f) + 32.0f; Also that formula is wrong for the Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion. You really only need two variables here, not three.
  3. Sorry, looks like no one saw my post about being on vacation in the hidden helper's forum. Your lastest log looks clean and if you aren't having any problems then this is resolved (I just hope you haven't gotton re-infected while I was away ). You need to prevent re-infection. I strongly recommend you take the following steps because infections are likely to reoccur unless you are protected (I post the same speech for everyone so you may have already taken some of these steps): Disable then re-enable System Restore. This will delete your old restore points. Malware could get backed up in
  4. I got your email...but as far as I can tell no file was attached Autodad did decide to remove it here however - http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?sh...05entry231505 Also, I just noticed WinSvr.exe was in that log also. I'm assuming, then, that itime.dll is related to it and its something you don't want. Could you still try resending it though one more time? I'm going to go ahead with fixing instructions. Edit: I've found another log with both too... Please Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm and Run the Program. Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explo

  6. After you have taken care of the above...do this. Please run HijackThis, do a scan, and place a check next to the following items to be fixed: R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinSvr] C:\WINDOWS\System32\WinSvr.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WPMon] C:\WINDOWS\System32\wpmon.exe O16 - DPF: {88D758A3-D33B-45FD-91E3-67749B4057FA} (Sinstaller Class) - http://dm.screensavers.com/dm/installers/si/1/sinstaller.cab Close all browsers and windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked". Reboot and post a new HijackThis log in a reply to this topic.
  7. Hmm....I haven't looked through the logs yet...looks like it came back though. Can you find itime.dll on your system? Its probably in C:\WINDOWS\System32\ but if it isn't you may have to Search for it. Do you have any idea what it is and is it legitimate? You can right-click it and look at the "Properties." EDIT: Be sure not to remove it! You may lose your internet connection. If you do find it but don't know what it is...please zip it and send it here.

  17. Glad you were able to solve your problem You need to prevent re-infection. 18. The only thing I notice is you are running AVG and McAfee antiviruses. As I mentioned above you should only have one anti-virus running at a time to avoid conflicts. Uninstall one or the other or at least disable any sort of real-time protection in one or the other. Which program is finding those items? Will it not remove them for you? Those are registry keys and unless you know about the registry I would not recommend manually editing it as you can really mess up your computer.
  19. Resolved in chat...I guess... You need to prevent re-infection. 20. You are infected. Have you tried running Ad-aware SE 1.05 yet? I think it can combat some of the stuff you have. Can you please download Ad-aware SE Personal and install it. Before scanning with Ad-aware SE Personal:Update Select Check for updates. Then Connect and download the latest reference file. [*]Run a FULL Ad-aware scan using the following configuration below Click Scan now. Select Perform full system scan and hit Next to let Ad-Aware scan your drives. Allow it to scan. Once it is finished, click Next. Under the Critical Objects tab, rightclick in the list, choose Select All. C

  22. Since Besttechie supposively has to read (heh)...I will be helping you this time. Microsoft AntiSpyware may interfere with HijackThis fixes. Find the icon for Microsoft AntiSpyware in your system tray at the lower right. Right-click it and click shutdown. Run HijackThis, do a scan, and place a check next to the following items to be fixed: R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://bfc.myway.com/search/de_srchlft.html R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4
  23. Only thing I notice here is you have Wildtangent on your system which some think is bad. Not serious just borderline malware. It can be removed via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. I'm pretty sure that this problem isn't malware related. The problem could be almost anything considering you overwrote your hard drive from a backup. Something just went wrong somewhere I guess. The best suggestion I have is for you to backup any files you want to save, then do a reformat and reinstall. Sorry, I don't have any better ideas... You need to prevent infection. I strongly recommend you take
  24. Hello jennie, First of all, I wouldn't trust NoAdware myself. Please see http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-s...re.htm#naw_note Run HijackThis, do a scan, and place a check next to the following items to be fixed: R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\OOBE\BLANK.HTM R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\OOBE\BLANK.HTM O2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - (no file) These are optional, they are not malware but removing them may improve the performance of your computer.
